Our Global Markets Dealer Training Program actively recruits individuals interested in a career in sales and trading of wholesale financial products and debt origination. This highly regarded program has trained a number of our top professionals and is one of the key reasons our clients have made us an industry leader.

 

RBC Capital Markets' 12 to 18 month Global Markets Dealer Training is a well respected program. This program is a combination of intensive classroom and on-the-job training that gives candidates a chance to experience the different areas of our business and to develop a broad perspective of the marketplace.

 

Graduates of this program build on their existing knowledge base and skill sets, gain a wealth of applicable industry experience and build a solid foundation for a successful career. The program focuses on preparing individuals for debt origination, sales and trading opportunities in fixed income, money market, global funding, foreign exchange, commodities and structured finance. We seek competitive individuals who possess the energy, enthusiasm and capacity to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. Candidates must be self-motivated, and also demonstrate the strong interpersonal skills that make them creative team players.

 

What we look for

Each candidate will be evaluated on their individual merit; however, it is a definite asset to possess the following qualifications:

• Undergraduate or Graduate degree;
• Proven interest in financial markets;
• Fluency in two or more languages;
• Strong analytical and interpersonal skills; and
• Completion of the Canadian Securities Course.
