RBC Capital Markets' Global Investment Banking division seeks out and hires energetic, bright and talented graduates for our Associate and Analyst programs. These well established programs have produced many of the industry experts that are the backbone of RBC Capital Markets and are one of our key differentiators in a very competitive and dynamic marketplace.

Our Associate Program

Every year, RBC Capital Markets recruits postgraduates to join our Global Investment Banking Group as full-time Associates in our Toronto office. Associates are assigned to transaction teams, working with our industry and product experts on deals with some of the leading corporate and institutional organizations on the continent. Associates are involved in a wide variety of transactions, including equity and debt financings, mergers, acquisitions and other financial advisory assignments.

A key component of our program is the orientation and training we provide for Associates. This approach ensures all new Associates are properly introduced to and prepared to work with the breadth of financial products and services inherent to the RBC Capital Markets platform.

What we look for

In selecting new Associates, we look for individuals with outstanding academic records, demonstrated analytical skills and a diversity of extracurricular activities. Strong oral and written communication skills, leadership qualities, initiative and the ability to function as a key team member in a fast-paced and challenging environment are also essential.

Candidates must be in the final year of a two-year MBA or equivalent program and should have had a least two years full-time work experience prior to pursuing postgraduate studies. Most importantly, candidates must demonstrate a desire to learn and an eagerness to make a meaningful contribution to the team environment at RBC Capital Markets.
